Ho Chi Minh City — Qualcomm announced that Enfarm was named to the Top 3 of the Qualcomm Vietnam Innovation Challenge 2025 (QVIC 2025), receiving a US$50,000 award along with deep technology and intellectual property support. Within the program, Enfarm filed its first patent application, strengthening the company’s technology moat for the scale-up phase.

Highlight: AI Chatbot – a breakthrough in user access
The centerpiece of this year’s product suite is an AI Chatbot for agriculture, allowing farmers to use it for free to ask questions and receive instant advice tailored to local farming contexts. This long-awaited digital touchpoint delivers immediate utility while creating a large-scale trial channel that naturally upgrades users to paid devices and services—at a lower customer acquisition cost.
Two companion products in QVIC
4G data gateway: the backbone for large-scale data collection and management, ready for wide deployment and partnerships across the value chain.
On-site sensing and analytics device (edge computing): ensures timely, in-field recommendations, works in low-connectivity environments, and standardizes data-driven agronomic decisions.
The role of Qualcomm and what it means for Enfarm
Qualcomm is a leading technology company in high-performance, low-power connectivity and computing platforms, pioneering foundational technologies for 3G/4G/5G and on-device AI that drive digital transformation across industries. Its vision of “intelligent computing everywhere” reflects a commitment to bringing advanced AI and connectivity to every device—from mobile to IoT to automotive.
Launched in Vietnam in 2019, QVIC is Qualcomm’s incubation program aimed at nurturing technology startups and creating opportunities to commercialize AI, edge, and IoT solutions aligned with “Make in Vietnam.” The program provides technical guidance, business mentorship, and market access, and encourages patent filings, thereby improving product quality and the competitiveness of Vietnamese tech companies.
mpact on the business model
- Freemium user funnel: The free AI Chatbot creates a runway for digital growth, reduces Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), and increases conversion to paid devices and services.
- Multi-layered revenues: Combining hardware, SaaS, seasonal service packages, and platform/API licensing diversifies cash flows and improves margins at scale.
- Geographic scalability: The three products directly address data–connectivity–operations pain points, enabling replication in Vietnam, ASEAN, and other emerging markets through B2B/B2B2F partnerships.
Intellectual property assets: The filed patent application strengthens competitive barriers and opens future licensing opportunities.
Enfarm will officially launch the AI Chatbot together with the Enfarm app version 4.0 in September 2025 to deliver a step-change in product utility and user experience. The other two products will reach the market in the first half of 2026, helping Enfarm optimize costs and expand to areas without mobile coverage, as well as to large agribusinesses that are sensitive about sending data outside their own systems.
