On June 10, 2025, Enfarm was honored to participate in the workshop “Sustainable Development of the Durian Industry,” organized by Tiền Phong Newspaper in collaboration with ministries, associations, local authorities, and the business community. At the event, Mr. Nguyen Do Dung – CEO of Enfarm – represented the company and delivered a speech as a guest speaker, sharing practical solutions to enhance the quality and competitiveness of this billion-dollar export sector.
Workshop Context: Urgent and Full of Challenges
The years 2024–2025 have witnessed significant turbulence in Vietnam’s durian industry. After reaching a record-high export turnover in 2023, the sector is now facing a series of serious challenges:
- Sharp decline in exports, directly affecting the income of farmers and businesses.
- Increasingly stringent food safety standards, particularly from China – currently the largest market.
- Numerous shipments being rejected due to cadmium residue levels exceeding limits, resulting in major financial losses and damaging national credibility.
- Weak linkages among raw material regions and loose value chains, making it difficult to ensure consistent quality across production areas.
In this context, the workshop was organized to gather diverse perspectives from regulatory authorities, industry associations, experts, and businesses… để cùng bàn giải pháp phát triển sầu riêng theo hướng bền vững, chuyên nghiệp và chuẩn xuất khẩu.
